SANDY METCALFE

In addition to being Director, Marketing & Consultancy, & Company Secretary of BTS, Sandy is responsible for business development, key account relationships, & client project management, while also delivering certain coaching, business consultancy, HR & training services on behalf of the company.

Sandy is a Certified Training Professional

Current projects include:

• Sales Institute of Ireland: (BTS is the Institute’s Education Partner since 2004)- Supporting the marketing and ongoing delivery throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland of the Institute suite of sales qualifications.
• Irish Computer Society: Supporting the marketing and ongoing delivery of Certificate in Selling Skills (I.T. Sector – launched Autumn 2004)
• Institute of Bankers: Supporting the development of the Certificate in Selling Financial Services (launched September 2005)
• Supporting the development and delivery of customised coaching/sales/customer service training Interventions for a range of corporate clients, in the private and public sectors.
• Tutor / Facilitator to a number of the current student groups for the Sales Institute’s Certificate in Selling Skills
• Trainer/facilitator on a number of sales, customer service and coaching programmes
• In 2005, designed and developed CAREER MANAGER, an outplacement and career change management consultancy package which is unique to BTS.

In the past 5 years Sandy has provided project management, development and  delivery support for a range of services to a variety of clients including:

• provision of outplacement and career change management support to the management team of a UK based manufacturing & distribution company closing its Irish production facility.
• design and development of sales process, sales training delivery, and sales management coaching for High Street bank
• outplacement /career change management in financial services and manufacturing sectors.
• production of an induction training video for a life assurance company
• conference event management

 Other areas of responsibility include:

• Managing the team of BTS Associate Directors in selling & delivering the company’s business consultancy, training & development, educational qualifications, and eLearning services.
• Company Secretary
• Day to day management of company including administration, finance, suppliers etc.

• Graduate of the Human Resource Management Programme of the Irish Management Institute
• Fellow of the Sales Institute of Ireland
• Member of the  Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development
• Member of the Institute of Bankers in Ireland
• Member and former National Council member / regional chairman of the Marketing Institute of Ireland
• European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)
• Former chairman and current President of the Laois Association – Dublin
• Interests include music, theatre, & golf.
